1956 Mercedes-Benz 300Sc Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz 300S model was first exhibited at the 1951 Paris Salon. Manufacturing commenced in 1952 and continued through the 1956 model year. In the last three years of production, the car was available with Bosch fuel injection and became the 300Sc. This model Mercedes-Benz was available in three body styles, Cabriolet, Roadster and Coupe. The Singelfingen coachbuilt body was designed for the discriminating sports car enthusiast and hand finished to an exacting standard. The interior design and fittings were comparable to any Rolls Royce and were of the finest materials. The large well-padded front seats are trimmed in top grade leather and luxury pile carpet is used throughout. The spacious rear trunk had a full set of fitted personal luggage in matching interior leather trim.This series of cars were the last hand built custom coach vehicles built by Mercedes-Benz. The engine delivers 172 bhp @ 5400rpm and has a top speed of 115mph. Only 49 Cabriolets, 53 Roadsters and 98 Coupes were manufactured.
